Occasion’s Canapés and Starters…..
All Womens Show, Fareham. March 2010
 

On Gourmet To Go’s stand no’s 15 &16 at the All Women Show, March 2010, our theme will be about Outside and Corporate Catering for the this year’s events. You will have an opportunity to talk to our senior team who will answer any questions you have on events you have planned for the on coming year. Also you can enter our “Easter Egg” Draw where we will give incentives off any events booked from introductions at this event.

On the stand you will see examples of our Celebration cakes, taste Chef’s delicious Chocolate Dip and of course sample goodies from the demos as listed below….. Bon appetite! Occasion’s Canapés and Starters … a demo class by Gourmet To Go who aims to give you that added expertise for entertaining and most of all impressing your guests! This demo will set you straight to becoming super confident in getting that WOW factor from your guests by serving flavoursome bites and starters without becoming flustered and spending ages fiddling about.

We start off the demo showing you what you might find in your larder and fridge:
Good Quality Cream Cheese, marinated olives, goats cheese, garlic, roasted red peppers, salmon, chicken, chicken,  Flat Breads, fresh herbs (chives, coriander, basil, etc), for example…..
The right equipment is essential to making light work…
Blending machine, piping bags and nozzle, cocktail sticks, chopping board, sharp knives, mixing bowls, silver trays, moulds/cutters.

The aim is to inspire you. You'll discover how to be creative, producing fantastic flavours for your guests!

 
So what's on the menu? We'll start by highlighting the need to use freshest ingredients, and if you can, locally produced first class ingredients. Like the chicken and duck and  goats cheese!

Here are examples of the dishes we will learn how to create: canapés, vinaigrettes and starters:

  • Orange Duck pate on flats with beet strings
  • Goats Cheese, Black Olives and Herbs on canapé flat bread
  • Marinated Chicken on Summer Leaves dressed with Mango and Passion Fruit Vinaigrette
  • Salmon, Crab and Avocado Creviché  served with a Garam Masala Oil
